2019 NZIP Conference

We are delighted to announce that the next biennial NZIP Conference will be held in Christchurch in 2019.

The conference dates are 15–17 April 2019. The conference will be followed by a professional development workshop for teachers on 18 April.

Prof Hans Bachor, Australian National University. “Lasers are Part of Your Life”.

Prof Bachor is a keynote speaker at the NZIP Conference and has kindly agreed to give this public lecture.

Date: Monday 6 July.

Time: 7:30-9:00 pm.

Venue: University of Waikato, Gallagher concert chamber, Academy of Performing Arts.

The New Zealand Association of Science Educators scholarship will provide financial assistance to individual teachers within New Zealand to attend the biennial conference of the New Zealand Institute of Physics 2015 to be held in July.

There are 10 scholarships available each worth $250. The scholarship money can be at the discretion of the recipient either towards registration, travel or accommodation. More details and criteria for selection are given in the 2015 Scholarship Information Sheet

All applicants must complete the application form below and submit it via email to education@nzip.org.nz by 5 June 2015
