Physics paper. I've done a rough analysis of the questions, results as below Level 1 2 Level 2 7 (all translational mechanics) Level 3 Waves 4 Mechanics 6 (all translational mechanics) Quantum/nuclear 1 !!!! Electricity 6 (almost all AC) The balance of the paper seems bizarre. I realise that school includes earlier work, but the amount of L2 mechanics seems over the top. Approximately 1/3 of the L3 course was examined! The following was NOT examined: Doppler Standing waves Rotation Shm Photoelectric effect DC circuits Electromagnetism I realise that you can't cover every aspect of the course, but this is ridiculous. Half the paper on translational mechanics I would be interested to hear other comments reagrds, ........ The balance was awful. I'm not convinced about the Trebuchet question 3 (c) It's issues like this that make me reluctant to spend a lot of time coaching for it. E grades at Level 3 are more important target.
