PASCO equipment and datalogging in general

Hello all,
Either no-one posts to this list-serv, or my school filters are over-
stepping their brief.
Looking at the list of subscribers there are many schools represented
here.
Could I kick off a discussion on datalogging etc.
1. We have some 'old' PASCO Dataloggers (Workshop 500, 750 series, as
I recall) that need to be cleared from the cupboard. I would be happy
to see them used elsewhere. If anyone fancies details, drop me a line
- first come first served. They are in various states of repair (i.e.
leads missing or not - but all in excellent outward condition. I have
not used them, so cannot comment on the innards).
2. We are thinking of investing in PASCO PASPORT sensors (I used
them in the UK and was was quite happy with them). Has anyone else
here gone down that route?
We have found the retail PASCO prices here in NZ to be twice
(allowing for exchange rate) the retail cost in the US. I have asked
PASCO (USA) if they might sell direct to schools here, but they have
declined, suggesting that we form a consortium to lever the resellers
here (Betacom) down in price. Would anyone be interested in forming a
consortium? At the moment it would possibly(depending on volume etc)
be cheaper to fly over to the US and buy it over the counter and then
have shipped back, than to buy here.
3. What other data logging units are people using and at what level
are people at - demo's only or class sets?
I hope this gets through.
Regards
David King
